Born in 1989, Triple Five Soul clothing, Triple Five Soul shoes and Triple Five Soul bags started out in the lower east side of Manhattan when a premier skater of the time first designed Triple Five Soul clothing s signature design element, the 555 logo. Originally offering hand-sewn hoodies and velour suits, 555 put on backyard dancehall parties with local music acts as a way of advertising. Shortly after, a famous rapper rocked one of Triple Five Soul s grey velour tracksuits in a music video, 555 knew they were on to something when other streetwear companies paid secret research visits to the shop. In 1992, 555 established itself as a proper retail business and opened a second shop in LA. A year later, 555 opened a women s boutique next to the original location and a shop in a trendy part of London. In the years to follow, Triple Five Soul started to design and produce wool cargo pants, jeans, cords, twills and tee-shirts. In 1998, 555 officially became Triple 5 and moved its headquarters to Brooklyn. With their first designer hired, Triple Five Soul had their first line of accessories and showed samples ahead of season at MAGIC in Las Vegas. As the Triple Five family grew, so did their popularity. Shops soon opened in Tokyo, Hong Kong and all over Europe and Asia. Keeping true to their roots, T5S still works with deejays and musicians to put out a variety of limited edition mix tapes and even a premium footwear line. Triple Five Soul clothing, Triple Five Soul shoes and Triple Five Soul bags continues to hold title as kind of fashion week in Vegas by ruling the party circuit with appearances by many well known bands and deejays.
